RIB joins the instant payment network

Caring for its customers’ time and convenience, RIB joined the SEPA Instant Credit Transfer scheme known in Latvia as the instant payment service.
This means that most payments, both inland and within the EEA, can be executed in mere seconds 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including public holidays.
Customers are not required to take any additional actions in the Internet Banking system or the mobile application, as SEPA payments to the banks, which have joined the SEPA Instant Credit Transfer scheme (*), provided that the payment amount does not exceed 100,000 euro and payment can be sent via the instant payment service, will be executed by the Bank itself as instant payments.
Among Latvian banks, Latvijas Banka, SEB banka, Citadele, Swedbank, Signet Bank and BlueOrange have also joined the SEPA Instant Credit Transfer scheme.
